1. Can I participate and comment on the Industry Insider Wedblog?
Yes, and we certainly hope you will. Participate as much or as little as you'd like. You are welcome to comment on any post and interact with other members. If you have a question for the community of professionals, email it to us. We'll do our best to answer it and/or publish it for fellow members of the Industry Insider to offer their opinions and insight.
2. What type of information is posted on the Industry Insider Wedblog?
The most popular posts involve emerging trends and tips from celebrity event and wedding planners. We also cover advertising and marketing ideas, general business ideas, new wedding products and companies for you to check out, TV wedding shows, destination weddings, opportunities for continuing education, creative ideas to pass along to your bride, reviews of wedding books and so much more.
3. Do I have to be a wedding planner to join the DWP Industry Insider?
No, you do not. Many other wedding professionals may find this information beneficial to the growth of their business. Among our current members, we have Disc Jockies, Photographers, Hospitality Professionals and more. We welcome you to tell your other wedding vendor associates and contacts about the DWP Industry Insider Wedblog.
4. Do I have to be working in the North Texas area to benefit from the DWP Industry Insider Wedblog?
No. Although some of posts regarding wedding vendors may focus on Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas wedding professionals, the other numerous posts will be relevant to anyone in the wedding planning or wedding-related business in any geographical location.
5. What is my Word Press user name? Is it visible to others?
When you join the DWP Industry Insider Blog, we will set up your account for you. Your WordPress username and temporary password will be emailed to you. When logged into your WordPress account, click on "Profile" and you can change your password and your "Nickname."
Dallas Wedding Planner encourages members to fill out your Word Press profile to include your business name and URL for your company website. We also request that you keep your visible "Nickname" professional and easy to understand. For example, your account user name is probably something like "sjones." But rather than your "Nickname" appearing as something like "trendygal48," we suggest your name that's visable to others be "Sally Jones" or "Weddings by Sally."
6. Is there an RSS feed I can subscribe to?
At this time, the Industry Insider Blog can only be accessed by logging into your Word Press account in any web browser on any computer or mobile device with internet access. There is no public RSS feed. This limitation is due to the restricted password-protected access of our valuable content. As technology develops further, we hope to be able to bring this feature to our members.
